Things required for making citronella candles 

1. Saucepan
2. Water
3. Glass containers for melting wax
4. Double boiler
5. Citronella Oil
6. Metal spoon
7. Stove
8. Crayons or dye
9. Molds
10. Cotton wicks
11. Scissors

Making Citronella candles step by step 

1. Take a saucepan.
2. Fill it with little water. Make sure the level of the water is low and it won’t come inside the glass containers when it boils.
3. Now take glass containers and put some paraffin wax in it.
4. Make sure the glass container is oven free.
5. You can too use a double boiler for this purpose.
6. Turn on the stove and let the wax melts.
7. At regular intervals stir the wax with the use of metal spoon.
8. Add dye as per your choice.
9. You can too use crayons but make sure they are non toxic. Food colors are also a good option.
10. Now add 3-4 droplets of citronella oil.
11. Mix it well.
12. Now take molds in different shape and designs.
13. Molds are easily available in market in many shapes like stars and hearts.
14. You can too use wine glass or salsa jars for this purpose.
15. Place cotton wicks in the molds.
16. You can place the cotton wicks with the help of pencil.
17. Now slowly pour the wax into the molds.
18. Let it set for 4-5 hours.
19. You can decorate the molds with the use of glitters, insect images or simply smiles.
